    Telemachus point of view

Telemachus was the son of Odysseus and Penelope. He was born in the city of Ithica, and has

been living with his mother and taking care of her while her father was away on the Trojan war. He

was annoyed at the fact that the suiters were trying to marry his mother, Penelope. His mother and

him were not sure about whether or not they should have accepted the suiters requests on marriage,

this is because they were unsure about Odysseuses wearabouts, they didn't know if he was still alive

or not. All the other gods except Athena felt compassionate over Odysseuses situation so Athena

decided to help Telemachus and his family. She disguised herself as Minerva and helped Telemachus

out by insisting that he continues to support his mother.

An archetype is a universal symbol for something. For example an archetype for american schools, is the yellow schoolbus. One common archetype is the child, and is featured in the book Hatchet by Gary Paulson. This archetype represents our birth or hope and promise for a new beginning. It is represented in this book because the main character has to start from the very beginning and find a way to survive in the wild by himself with little to no survival experience. He developes new instincts that are hidden in all people because people are accustomed to today's life. In this way he is the only person when he is rescued and is " reborn ", " so in my opinion the book Hatchet successfully represents the child archetype.
